夸父逐日
远古时候，在北方荒野中，有座巍峨雄伟、高耸入云的高山。在山林深处，生活着一群力大无穷的巨人。
In accident time，there were a group of giants lived in a huge mountain in north china.
他们的首领，是幽冥之神“后土”的孙儿，“信”的儿子，名字叫做夸父。因此这群人就叫夸父族。他们身强力壮，高大魁梧，意志力坚强，气概非凡。而且还心地善良，勤劳勇敢，过着与世无争，逍遥自在的日子。
There leader was Kuafu, who was the grandson of god of ghost. His group was called Kuafu Group. They were very strong, very tall and had the power of determined will. They were kind, hard-working and had peace with themselves.
那时候大地荒凉，毒物猛兽横行，人们生活凄苦。夸父为让本部落的人们能够活下去，每天都率领众人跟洪水猛兽搏斗。
During that time, the world was wild, beasts ran amuck, people`s life was bleak. Kuafu fighted with beasts everyday because he wanted people get rid of suffering.
有一年的天气非常热，火辣辣的太阳直射在大地上，烤死庄稼，晒焦树木，河流干枯。人们热得难以忍受，夸父族的人纷纷死去。
In one year it was extremely hot. Wheat and tress were scorched, rivers were dried up. People could not stand for the suffering and died one by one.
夸父看到这种情景很难过，他仰头望着太阳，告诉族人：“太阳实在是可恶，我要追上太阳，捉住它，让它听人的指挥。”族人听后纷纷劝阻。
Kuafu was very sad, he raised his head and looked up to the sun, ‘the sun is hateful. I must catch it up, seize it and let people control it.’ People all admonished him that he couldn`t do that.
有的人说：“你千万别去呀，太阳离我们那么远，你会累死的。”
‘You can`t do it, the sun is far away from us, you will be exhausted and die.’ Somebody said.
有的人说：“太阳那么热，你会被烤死的。”
‘The sun is so hot that you will be burned up.’ Somebody said.
夸父心意已决，发誓要捉住太阳，让它听从人们的吩咐，为大家服务。他看着愁苦不堪的族人，说：“为大家的幸福生活，我一定要去！”
But Kuafu had made up his mind to catch the sun. He said, ‘ I must do it for our happiness!’, looking at people`s anxious faces.
太阳刚刚从海上升起，夸父告别族人，怀着雄心壮志，从东海边上向着太阳升起的方向，迈开大步追去，开始他逐日的征程。
After the sun had raised, Kuafu said good-bye to people and started his journey.
太阳在空中飞快地移动，夸父在地上如疾风似的，拼命地追呀追。他穿过一座座大山，跨过一条条河流，大地被他的脚步，震得“轰轰”作响，来回摇摆。
The sun moved in the sky quickly, Kuafu ran on the land quickly. He ran across many mountains and rivers, the land was waved by his footsteps.
夸父跑累的时候，就微微打个盹，将鞋里的土抖落在地上，于是形成大土山。饿的时候，他就摘野果充饥，有时候夸父也煮饭。他用三块石头架锅，这三块石头，就成了三座鼎足而立的高山，有几千米高。
When he was tired, he napped for a minute. He shook the dust in his shoes off, the dusts formed big mountains. When he was hungry, he picked off fruits and cooked by himself. He use 3 pieces of stone as pots then the stones became huge mountains.
夸父追着太阳跑，眼看离太阳越来越近，他的信心越来越强。越接近太阳，就渴得越厉害，已经不是捧河水就可以止渴的了。
Kuafu ran after the sun, becoming nearer and nearer. He felt thirstier as he was nearer to the sun.
但是，他没有害怕，并且一直鼓励着自己，“快了，就要追上太阳了，人们的生活就会幸福了。”
But he never gave up and encouraged himself,’ I nearly catch it up, people will be happy.’
经过九天九夜，在太阳落山的地方，夸父终于追上了它。
Finally he catched the sun up at where the sun fell down.
夸父无比欢欣地张开双臂，想把太阳抱住。可是太阳炽热异常，夸父感到又渴又累。他就跑到黄河边，一口气把黄河水之水喝干；
Kuafu spread his arms excitingly and wanted to grip the sun but the sun was too hot and he felt tired and thirst. He ran to the Yellow River and drank the water off.
他又跑到渭河边，把渭河水也喝光，仍不解渴；
The he ran to the Weihe River and drank it off but still felt thirsty.
夸父又向北跑去，那里有纵横千里的大泽，大泽里的水足够夸父解渴。
He ran to Daze, where thousands of rivers had enough for him to drink.
但是，夸父还没有跑到大泽，就在半路上被渴死了。
But Kuafu had not reached Daze yet, he died on the half way.
夸父临死的时候，心里充满遗憾，他还牵挂着自己的族人，于是将自己手中的木杖扔出去。木杖落地的地方，顿时生出大片郁郁葱葱的桃林。
His heart was full of pity, he still thought about people so he threw his walking stick away. Suddenly a big forest appeared at where the walking stick fell down.

Chinese myth精卫填海
Yandi(a god who created Chinese) has 4 daughters, the smallest on is called Nuva.
She really wants to go to Donghai to see the sun rising. But her father is too busy, he doesn`t have time to bring her there. One day, Nuva went to Donghai by herself without telling his father. Unfortunately, there was a huge storm, Nuva fell into the sea and drowned. She would never come back. Her father Yandi was very sad.
Nuva was dead, her soul became a little bird, flower-coloured head, white nib and chirped’Jingwei,Jingwei’, so people called her Jingwei.
Jingwei hated the sea because it has carried off her young life, so she wanted to avenge so she never stopped bringing gravel from the Fajiu Mountain to fill the sea in. She worked like that every day with her sorrowfulchriping.
The sea was blustering and running. He laughed at her,’Little bird, although you work millions of years, you couldn`t fill me in! ‘
‘No matter how many years I use, I will fill you in, until the end of the universe!’Nuva said.
‘But why do hate me so much?’The sea was confused.
‘You`ve taken off my life and you`ll take off others as well in the future. I will never stop until you are disappeared.’
But Nuva has been so tired, she has been exhausted one day and finally died.
炎帝有一个小女儿，叫女娃。女娃十分乖巧，黄帝见了她，也都忍不住夸奖她，炎帝视女娃为掌上明珠。
炎帝不在家时，女娃便独自玩耍，她非常想让父亲带她出去，到东海——太阳升起的地方去看一看。可是因为父亲忙于公事：太阳升起时来到东海,直到太阳落下；日日如此，总是不能带她去。这一天，女娃没告诉父亲，便一个人驾着一只小船向东海太阳升起的地方划去。不幸的是，海上突然起了狂风大浪，像山一样的海浪把女娃的小船打翻了，女娃不幸落入海中，终被无情的大海吞没了，永远回不来了。炎帝固然痛念自己的小女儿，但却不能用太阳光来照射她,使她死而复生，也只有独自神伤嗟叹了。
女娃死了，她的精魂化作了一只小鸟，花脑袋，白嘴壳，红色的爪子，发出“精卫、精卫”的悲鸣，所以，人们便叫此鸟为“精卫”。
精卫痛恨无情的大海夺去了自己年轻的生命，她要报仇雪恨。因此，她一刻不停地从她住的发鸠山上衔了一粒小石子，展翅高飞，一直飞到东海。她在波涛汹涌的海面上回翔阒，悲鸣着，把石子树枝投下去，想把大海填平。
大海奔腾着，咆哮着，嘲笑她：“小鸟儿，算了吧，你这工作就干一百万年，也休想把我填平！”
精卫在高空答复大海：“哪怕是干上一千万年，一万万年，干到宇宙的尽头，世界的末日，我终将把你填平的！”
“你为什么这么恨我呢？”
“因为你夺去了我年轻的生命，你将来还会夺去许多年轻无辜的生命。我要永无休止地干下去，总有一天会把你填成平地。”

Nuwa reparing the sky女娲补天
在盘古开天辟地之后，女娲觉得自己十分孤独，于是用黄泥造人，子民安居乐业。后来共工与颛顼争帝位，不胜而头触不周之山，导致天柱折，地维绝，四极废，九州裂，天倾西北，地陷东南，洪水泛滥，大火蔓延，人民流离失所。
女娲看到她的子民们陷入巨大灾难之中，十分关切，决心炼石以补苍天。于是她周游四海，遍涉群山，最后选择了东海之外的海上仙山—天台山。天台山是东海上五座仙山之一，五座仙山分别由神鳌用背驼着，以防沉入海底。女娲为何选择天台山呢，因为只有天台山才出产炼石用的五色土，是炼补天石的绝佳之地。
于是，女娲在天台山顶堆巨石为炉，取五色土为料，又借来太阳神火，历时九天九夜，炼就了五色巨石36501块。然后又历时九天九夜，用36500块五彩石将天补好。剩下的一块遗留在天台山中汤谷的山顶上。
天是补好了，可是却找不到支撑四极的柱子。要是没有柱子支撑，天就会塌下来。情急之下，女娲只好将背负天台山之神鳌的四只足砍下来支撑四极。可是天台山要是没有神鳌的负载，就会沉入海底，于是女娲将天台山移到东海之滨的琅琊，就是今天日照市涛雒镇一带。至今天台山上仍然留有女娲补天台、补天台下有被斩了足的神鳌和补天剩下的五彩石，后人称之为太阳神石。

Their lives were very happy. Then two gods fighted for the throne, their heads bumped down the pillars between the sky and the ground. The sky and ground were broken, the flood was flooding, the fire was spreading and people were homeless.
Nuwa saw that her subjects were in such a disaster, she was very sad. She decided that she would refine some stones and use them to repair the sky. She went to many mountains to find suit stones, finally she chose the Tiantai Mountain. Tiantai Mountain was carried by holy turtles so it couldn`t sink in the sea. It was abound in five-coloured mud, it was the best place to refine the stones.
Nuwa spent 9 days and 9 nights, finally she refined 36501 pieces of five-coloured stone. Then she spent 9 days and 9 nights to repair the sky by using 36500 pieces and left one on the top of the Tanggu Mountain.
The sky was already repaired, but the pillars which can suggest the sky couldn`t be found. The sky would fall down if there were no pillars. Nuwa cut the holy turtle`s legs out and used them as the pillars. But the Tiantai Mountain would sink into the bottom of the sae without the turtle, so Nuwa moved Tiantai Mountain to Langya(the east of the sea).
The place where Nuwa repaired the sky, the holy turtle whose legs were cut off is still on the Tiantai Mountain.

The overnight white hair 一夜花甲
一夜花甲。。。
花甲
汉语中指60岁。由天干、地支组合,每一干支代表一年,六十年为一循环。后称年满六十为花甲。花甲也指年月，时代，年纪，年岁。
序言
六十年一甲子，天干地支一轮回，花甲意为双鬓花白，取一轮甲子之意.
一夜花甲
某甲子年，一年轻画师与一女子邂逅，两人一见钟情。每日画师都为女子作画一幅以表爱意，年复一年，堆起女子画像厚厚的一叠。然好景不长，二人相濡以沫七年之后，不得已需离别。因为女子的父亲逼她嫁给一位官僚。在女子离开当晚，画师面对空中一轮明月，手握女子画像痛心不已。忽然他想起曾经听人说过的传说：60年一个轮回，经过六十年的等待头发斑白后，就会与相爱的人在另一个轮回里相遇。可是画师不能等待六十年那么久因为心爱的女子第二天就要离开了。画师索性用画笔蘸上白漆，将双鬓染白，省去了六十年的等待，一夜花甲，祈求与上苍换取和女子下一个六十年后的轮回，重修这段姻缘。 翌日晨，双鬓已白的画师，在二人初遇的桥头重遇了离开后的女子……女子虽然看见站立桥头的画师，却已不识“一夜花甲”的老翁，与他匆匆的擦肩而过。。。。。。

Huajia
Huajia means ‘60 years old’ or ‘60 years’ in Chinese. It is formed by 22 names of years in the Chinese era.
Jiazi year
The beginning year of a 60-years-cycle.
Prologue
60 years is a cycle. Huajia is also a meaning of ‘waiting 60 years until hair turns white’.
The overnight white hair
In a Jiazi year, a young painter met a girl beside a bridge and fell in love with her.
From then on the painter started painting a painting every day for the girl to show his love. He painted for the girl year by year; the girl has kept a thick stack of paintings. The life was full of happiness.
But their happy life hasn`t kept a long time. 7 years later, they had to part because the girl`s father forced the girl to marry a rich officer.
After the girl left, the painter was very sad; he watched the lonely moon at night with the painting of the girl in his hand. Suddenly he remembered it is said 60 years is a cycle, if 60 years pass and his hair turns white, he would meet the person he loved again, in another cycle. But 60 years were too long for him to wait, he couldn`t wait any more because the girl would marry another man next morning. Then he dyed his hair white with his paintbrush and omitted the 60-years-waiting. He hoped that he could fall in love with the girl again with his overnight white hair.
Next morning, the white-haired painter really met the girl again at the bridge where they first met each other. He watched the girl happily but the girl couldn`t recognised him…

某甲子年，一年轻画师与一女子邂逅，两人一见钟情。每日画师都为女子作画一幅以表爱意，年复一年，堆起女子画像厚厚的一叠。然好景不长，二人相濡以沫七年之后，不得已需离别。因为女子的父亲逼她嫁给一位官僚。在女子离开当晚，画师面对空中一轮明月，手握女子画像痛心不已。忽然他想起曾经听人说过的传说：60年一个轮回，经过六十年的等待头发斑白后，就会与相爱的人在另一个轮回里相遇。可是画师不能等待六十年那么久因为心爱的女子第二天就要离开了。画师索性用画笔蘸上白漆，将双鬓染白，省去了六十年的等待，一夜花甲，祈求与上苍换取和女子下一个六十年后的轮回，重修这段姻缘。 翌日晨，双鬓已白的画师，在二人初遇的桥头重遇了离开后的女子……女子虽然看见站立桥头的画师，却已不识“一夜花甲”的老翁，与他匆匆的擦肩而过。。。。。。

The overnight white hair
In a Jiazi year, a young painter met a girl beside a bridge and fell in love with her.
From then on the painter started painting a painting every day for the girl to show his love. He painted for the girl year by year; the girl has kept a thick stack of paintings. The life was full of happiness.
But their happy life hasn`t kept a long time. 7 years later, they had to part because the girl`s father forced the girl to marry a rich officer.
After the girl left, the painter was very sad; he watched the lonely moon at night with the painting of the girl in his hand. Suddenly he remembered it is said 60 years is a cycle, if 60 years pass and his hair turns white, he would meet the person he loved again, in another cycle. But 60 years were too long for him to wait, he couldn`t wait any more because the girl would marry another man next morning. Then he dyed his hair white with his paintbrush and omitted the 60-years-waiting. He hoped that he could fall in love with the girl again with his overnight white hair.
Next morning, the white-haired painter really met the girl again at the bridge where they first met each other. He watched the girl happily but the girl couldn`t recognised him…
